CrazyQuest is a wonderful little retro RPG that is still in development, with more quests and areas being added regularly. The movement seems unusual at first, since the overland map movement works on a series of nodes. However once you realise these are the visual equivalent of "rooms" in an old text-based RPG, it starts to make sense, plus you can fast travel ("Skip Movement") to a faraway node if you can't be bothered to watch your character walk there. Some enemies are aggressive, some are not, which gives you more choice over what to kill. Currently you will need to grind quite a bit to be strong enough and have enough equipment to kill harder enemies. Grinding is somewhat checked by a slow respawn rate for monsters, so you won't ever find yourself endlessly button mashing KRPG-style. But there's a nice sense of progression as you equip yourself and improve your weapon skills.
